The boys would fit right in. Drop your needle down about 13:30-14:00 into it...

Mickey had a better setup.

That was a cool set up for an orchestra though. Never seen a conductor is the round and 4 different 'areas' for the musicians. MH definitely had a better set up but I can hear '74 GD fitting right in. I really liked the whole performance and I have a new bookmark! Fo' sho'!

E- Don Giovanni was wonderful. Excellent choreography and acoustics. Have you been to a performance there? The Met is hard to hear in places, the old barn w/ balconies.

little grasshopper so happy unclejohn

Been to the Met once - in all its bejeweled glory, but this venue was the Armory, newly retro-fitted for a performance like this. I did sing in a chorus once under Gilbert's baton, very interesting experience.

Wow. I envy you folks who can take the stage. That must have been interesting indeed.

I've only been to the Met twice and frankly the old girl looked worse for the wear. But, that was during the renovation. Have you been there since they finished?

I can remember the old Deutschee Grammaphon LP with the orchestral layout for Stockhausen's Gruppen .
